Location

The campus of Otemon Gakuin University lies in the suburb of Ibaraki City, Osaka. The city of Ibaraki, with a population of some 270,000, is centrally located between Japan´s third largest business metropolis of Osaka and the ancient capital of Kyoto.

As a commercial center in western Japan, Osaka has a number of upscale shopping districts and is also home to many global companies such as Panasonic, Sharp and Sanyo. Osaka continues to give rise to new forms of popular culture through its progressive and revolutionary spirit, adding new flavor to the urban life in Japan. Kyoto has long been the heart of Japanese culture and tradition.

In the city of Kyoto and its surrounding areas, a rich depth of culture and art, deeply ingrained in timeless tradition, can be truly appreciated firsthand. Its beauty takes different shapes as each of the distinctive four seasons exhibits its own charm.

The geographical location, about a 30-minute train ride to Osaka and Kyoto, offers students convenient access to these world famous cities. It is anticipated that international students will greatly benefit from personal outings, field trips and other forms of research, extending their experience beyond the mere acquisition of knowledge.
