Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics consists of the Department of Economics and the Department of Human Economy.

The Department of Economics provides an overview of economics through the study of economic theory, economic history and regulatory issues and econometrics.

The Department of Human Economy is comprised of three concentrations of study: Life Economy, Environmental Economics and Comparative Economic Societies, in all of which students are guided to explore a possible new linkage between human beings and the economy.

By engaging students in a comprehensive review of these fields, the Faculty aims to deepen their knowledge of economics, equipping them with skills and insights for examining issues logically.

Faculty of Management

The Faculty of Management consists of the Department of Management and the Department of Marketing.

The Department of Management offers a selection of courses to provide students with opportunities to develop problem-solving skills in the specialty areas of Management, Accounting and Business Law.

The Department of Marketing offers four majors in entrepreneurial management: International Marketing, Information Marketing, Entrepreneurial Marketing, Business Psychology.

Each department has its own unique content, but the groupings of courses are flexible to allow course selection from both departments.

Faculty of Psychology

The Faculty of Psychology offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of psychological fields.

The curriculum consists of four basic fields: Cognition and Brain Science, Lifespan Developmental and Lifespan Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social and Criminal Psychology.

The Faculty of Psychology incorporates the following three majors: Mental Care, Child Support, Business Research, all designed to train professionals in the field of psychology as well as to instill psychological perspectives in students.

Each major comes with practical trainings enabling students well prepared for actual practices.

Faculty of Sociology

The Faculty of Sociology offers an extensive curriculum that goes beyond disciplinary boundaries and focuses on contemporary issues. There are three distinctive courses: Socio-Humanics, Sociology of Culture, Social Welfare and Social Work.

Faculty members provide guidance and research opportunities in a diverse area of studies ranging from anthropology, human relations to media studies. In addition, the Faculty also strongly advocates "Learning through Experiences" and presents coursework that includes practical training in the expansive field of sociology.

The ultimate objective of the Faculty is to equip students with skills to comprehend social and cultural phenomena in a sociological context.

Faculty of International Liberal Arts

The Faculty of International Liberal Arts consists of the Department of Asian Studies and the Department of English.

The Department of Asian Studies aims to foster a general understanding of the region through the formation of human links between people in Japan and our neighbors in many societies of Asia. The teaching staff is comprised of specialists in the regions of East Asia (primarily China and Japan), Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia.

The educational goal in the Department of English is to send out into the world individuals with a high level of communicative English and the ability to understand foreign cultures.

The curriculum is made up of two subject clusters: "English for General Purposes" and "English for Specific Purposes" --in an attempt to improve students´ practical English proficiency.
