Preliminary Announcement and Call for Papers:
The 37th ISCIE International Symposium on Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications will be held on
October 28-29, 2005, at the
Otemon Gakuin University, 2-1-15 Nishi-Ai, Ibaraki, Osaka, 567-8502, Japan.
Sunahara Memorial Lectures will be given by
Dr. H. Takayasu (Sony Computer Science Laboratory) and
Prof. G. Peskir (Univ. of Aarhus).The technical program will cover the general topic of stochastic systems
and its applications, but not be limitted to the following subjects:
- Analysis of Stochastic Processes and Stochastic Systems
- Applications in Engineering related to Stochastic Processes and Stochastic
Systems
- Chaos and Fractal
- Control Relevant System Identification
- Image Processing aand Pattern Recognition
- Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems
- Signal Detection
- State Estimation and Control of Stochastic Systems
- Stochastic Approaches in Medical and Biomedical Systems
- Stochastic Optimization Methods
- System Identification and Parameter Estimation
- Time Series Analysis and Spectral Estimation
Papers Submissions:
Authors are invited to submit
extended abstracts, which must be written in English and must be recieved by
July 30, 2005. Extended abstracts should not exceed two A4 pages with 25mm margins on all sides, in one collumn format, and with 10-point fonts or larger. Please include the title, author names, affiliations, and addresses on the top of the first page of the extended abstract.
The extended abstract should be prepared in either PDF, PS, or MS-Word
format, should be submitted electronically via the
On-Line Submission page.
Authours will be advised regarding acceptance of the extended abstract by
August 31, 2005. The author of accepted papers are requested to submit the manuscripts for the Proceedings following the instructions available in the
Proceedings page.
The manuscripts should be prepared in either PDF, PS, or MS-Word format
and submitted electronically via the
Proceedings page by
October 26, 2005. The maximum length of each manuscripts including both text and illustrations will be six pages (about 4500 words). In order to assure a high-quality of the Proceedings, all manuscripts will be reviewed and only accepted ones will be included in it.
Special Sessions:
Proposals for organized sessions are welcome and should be submitted to the chairman of Program & Steering Comittee before
July 30, 2005.
