In the heart of Kansai
The Kansai region has four distinct cities, each with its own unique features. Osaka, West Japan's largest city, is a center of the Japanese economy along with Tokyo. Ancient Japanese Buddhist temples and Shinto Shrines can still be found in great numbers in Kyoto and Nara. There are many important cultural assets and both cities are highly recommended to visit to deepen your understanding of Japan's history and ancient culture. The port city of Kobe has had thriving international exchange since olden times and one can see many old buildings with a Western cultural influence.

Otemon Gakuin University is situated in the heart of Kansai in Ibaraki City, Osaka. With a population in excess of 270,000 and a convenient location, halfway between Osaka and Kyoto, Ibaraki is a great place to live. It is blessed with a rich natural environment, with many trees particularly in the vicinity of our campus. It takes 12 minutes from Ibaraki Station to Osaka Station, and 18 minutes from Ibaraki Station to Kyoto Station. Kobe and Nara are also readily accessible. This great location offers international students many opportunities to visit famous cities in Western Japan.
